Information required for an accurate estimate

A plan or sketch of the worktop area that will tell the estimator following:

The number of Granite pieces, showing lengths and widths to calculate areas in Sq Metres.

The number & type of sink cutouts, hob cutouts, edge profiles, notches or special shapes.

Will the wall behind the worktop be plain (ready for painting), tiled or have granite splash backs?

A detailed plan provided by the kitchen designer if this is available.

This info will allow the estimator to provide an initial price for your outline approval and minimise later additions.

Templating

The templating process allows our representative to survey what is desired against what can be achieved, you will gain the benefit of all our experience in design and installation and we can deal with any queries on best practice. To ensure we can be of help we recommend the following:

Someone of authority on site at the template survey to discuss and authorise any design changes, or variation orders, needed prior to manufacturing approval.

All carcase units to be in final place, level and secured to the walls and floor.

50mm x 25mm softwood battens screwed or fitted to perimeter of walls to distribute loads.

All temporary worktops removed allowing access for our template personnel

The bottom line of existing tiling removed to allow accurate templating of the true wall profile

That all appliances are available for accurate positioning of cut-out's.

NOTE * we will convert the initial estimate to a FIRM QUOTATION at this stage.
